YES Trust
"YES Trust (Youth Effort for Society)", a unit of "YES Groups" is aiming at a new cause of serving the Childrens Of Police (Indian Police) with Education, Health, Orientation, Grievance Cell etc. as many of the children lack these basic facilities due to the work load on their parents who are shielding their lives for the cause of us (Public).
Deepak Budaguppe a member of "YES Trust" is running the "New York Marathon 2009" on Sunday, 01st November 2009 with this cause.
Henceforth, we are planning to organize the following:
- Sponsorships for Education
- Free Medical Camps
- Orientation for future life of the children
- Grievance Cell to advise the children of their problems
Though we do not have much expense for the Grievance Cell and Orientation camps, we need Financial support for Education and Medical Camps. We have decided to take up this cause based on the funds collected for this purpose and a draft would be framed in the Core Committee meeting which would be made transparent and would be updated on the Website "www.yesgroups.net" including the donations received and the way the amount is spent. "YES Groups" would welcome any suggestions in this regard and point at us if we are erring anywhere. (Please note that this program is only for the Childrens of Police).
Money is not everything. Hence we would appreciate your volunteer work or other assistance that you might be able to provide us. Any help that you can give us will be very much appreciated. We would be very grateful if you could also pass on this message to your family, friends, colleagues etc. who might be interested in furthering this cause. The Back Ground
Deepak Budaguppe who has successsfully completed the New York Marathon in 2005 is planning to run the "New York Marathon 2009" with a motive of helping the "Childrens of Police". His father who is a retired Police Official would always tell him that the Police officials who work with a lot of stress and who has to work over time and who take care and protect the society would not be in a position to take care of their own children as they would be strained and stressed by the time they come home from work. Many a times the cops would not see their childrens as the children's would have gone to sleep by the time the cop comes home late in the night or even if he comes home before the children sleep, he would not be in a position to talk to their children with calmness as they would be fully tired.
In 2007 when Deepak Budaguppe had visited India, he had a option to meet a couple of children's of police and saw that many didnot have the basis education or the knowledge of future education. They were not even in a position to plan for anything further as they were not getting enough support from their parents, the reason being their parents who are cops are busy protecting us and they were not concentrating on their childrens.
Hence, Deepak Budaguppe decided to do something for the upliftment of Childrens of Police and the decision of "RUN for COP (Children's of Police)" came into existance.
